Yesterday, we went and bought a Father's Day gift for Tyler. It was a gas trimmer with an edger attachment. Needless to say, he wasn't too impressed. There is nothing I love better than perfectly edged sidewalks. I hate grass and weeds growing over onto the concrete. The gift screams "work" and I think Tyler is getting sick of work related gifts (the trashgrabber, for example). I wasn't the only woman who wanted to send her husband a message; there were two other women in the Sears appliance store getting manly gifts, too. Then I think about gift presentation. It is more fun to get a nicely wrapped gift as opposed to someone telling you, "It's in the trunk". I should make more of an effort in that direction but I am terrible at wrapping.

It seems like I haven't blogged or even been on the computer for a long time. Computer use must be a cold weather hobby for me. What have I been doing the past few weeks? I went to the Indy Parade of Homes the past two Saturdays. If there is one thing I love, it's seeing other peoples houses. I definitely get it from my Mom who is also a house peeper. I love to see how homes are decorated and see the newest trends, even if I can't have them in my home. That's very true of the homes I saw on the Parade. The most expensive home I visited was 3.7 million dollars. I often wonder what kind of lifestyles people who can afford homes like that have. What do they do with all that space? Certainly they don't have children because even one kid takes you down a few notches as far as money is concerned. Oh well.

I've also been slowly working on my windows. I got all the paint off the frame and I've caulked it. I just have to paint it now and then start working on the sashes, getting all the old glazing putty and paint off those.
